The journey

From foundation to consecration.

The land is consecrated. The foundation is being laid. Prana Pratishtha — the awakening of the deities — is set for 19 February 2027.

The path so far

Each milestone has been carried by sacred ritual, the guidance of Thantris, and the work of devoted hands.

  1. September 2022Completed

    Sacred Land Acquisition & Dedication

Six acres of sacred land in Nandgaon, Vrindavan, formally dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan — the spiritual base of the future temple complex.

  2. 2022 – 2023Completed

    Acharya Varanam & Silpi Varanam

Traditional ceremonies formally appointing the chief priests, Thantris, and temple artisans — ensuring construction follows Kerala temple tradition, Vastu, and Tantra Samuchaya guidelines.

  3. Q1 2023Completed

    Sacred Wood & Stone Procurement

Identification and sourcing of stone and wood varieties from Kerala for traditional temple construction. Special focus on the sacred wood for the Dhwajam (ceremonial flag mast).

  4. April 2024Completed

    Bhuparigraham & Bhumi Puja

Sacred rituals sanctifying and spiritually preparing the land — invoking divine blessings, harmonising the elemental energies of the site, formally initiating construction in the Vedic tradition.

  5. June 2025Completed

    Shadadhara Prathishta & Garbhanyasam

Four days of sacred Vedic rituals establishing the temple's spiritual energy grid beneath the sanctum. Six foundational structures — Aadharashila, Nidhikumbha, Ashtadalapadma, Koorma, Yoganala, Napumsakashila — installed underground, one above the other. The uppermost layer marks the exact point where Guruvayurappan's idol will be consecrated.

  6. December 2025 — presentIn progress

    Foundation Construction for Shrine Structures

Major structural foundation work under way under the close guidance of the Silpi and Kerala artisans. Third layer of foundation complete for the main Guruvayurappan shrine; foundation work also progressing for Ganesha and Ayyappa shrines.

  7. April 2026Completed

    Vriksha Puja & Daaru Parigraham

Ceremonial worship of the sacred tree selected to become the Dhwajam — seeking divine permission to use its wood, led by Brahmasri Eekkad Neelakandan Namboodiripad.

  8. April 2026Ongoing

    Astrology Guidance & Spiritual Practices

Consultations confirm favourable planetary influences for the forthcoming Prana Pratishtha. Recommended spiritual support: weekly chanting of the 12th Adhyaya of the 12th Skandha of Srimad Bhagavatam, planting of an Audambar tree, installation of Bhairava, Gandharva, and Naga Devata idols.

  9. May 2026Completed

Dhwajam Wood Cutting & Sacred Curation

The sacred tree — declared Shreshta (highly auspicious) after a six-month search — was ceremonially cut, never touching the ground. The wood is now under a year-long curing process in Kerala, until early 2027.

  10. 16 May 2026Completed

    Krishna Bhajan Sandhya Fundraiser

Devotional concert in Mumbai led by Shri Raviraj Nasery, graced by Brahmarishi Mohanji — bhakti, music, and collective prayer bringing devotees and supporters together for the project.

  11. OngoingOngoing

    Weekly Global Bhagavata Chanting

Devotees from around the world participate in weekly online chanting of the Srimad Bhagavatam — an energetic and devotional foundation for the temple project.

  12. 19 February 2027Planned

    Prana Pratishtha

The final consecration. Divine life force is invoked into the deity of Guruvayurappan, and the temple opens as a spiritual centre for devotees from around the world. Aligned with the anniversary of Kerala's original Guruvayur Temple.
